Cerro Alegre, Valparaiso
An Art Lover’s Valparaiso
Valparaiso, one of the first Chilean cities founded by the Spanish, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2003 for its architectural and cultural significance. Quickly gaining respect around the world, however, is the bohemian city’s art scene. The colored hills are filled with both new art galleries that showcase South American artists and large-scale murals painted by famous street artists. Valparaiso is a creative hub for graffiti, street art, muralists and more.
