Chilean Wine Country

Between the jagged peaks of the Andes and the dramatic Pacific coastline lies some of the worlds most unique wine valleys.

Chile Wine Tours

Chile is an agricultural paradise whose bounty of fruits and vegetables supplies the world’s marketplaces and whose wine graces tables on every continent. A Mediterranean climate and increasingly organic, sustainable farming practices contribute to creating high-quality wines which are the purest expression of their privileged terroir. While standard geography would suggest that Chile’s long, narrow shape should display the greatest changes in growing conditions from north to south, it is actually proximity to the Andes mountains or Pacific Ocean from east to west which causes more pronounced climate and soil variations. Vines bask in the sun more than 2,000 meters (6,600 feet) above sea level under the crystal clear skies of the Elqui Valley, as well as just four kilometers (2.4 miles) from the sea itself in San Antonio.

Traveler Reviews

We visited Chile to experience its wines and cuisine. We considered other tour operators but kept coming back to Upscape based on trip advisor’s reviews – and we are glad we did. We visited 9 wineries in all in the Colchagua, Casablanca, and San Antonio valleys. All our guides were proficient in English, very knowledgeable, and service oriented. We highly recommend Upscape for those visiting Santiago and surrounding wine country.

“Please convey once again to all your colleagues our great pleasure in being so well taken care of. Our guides in Puerto Montt, Coyhaique and Santiago were excellent and accommodating, and our pilots were skilled and gracious”.
